China's container industry, the use of waterborne coatings has reached 99%!

China is a big container manufacturer, and more than 90% of the world's containers are made in China. Since its establishment in China in 1980s, container manufacturing industry has become a very mature industry after more than 30 years of development. People in the container industry can even say proudly, "we have created the world's largest container production capacity, the world's largest container type and specification, and the world's largest container production and sales volume." However, in the face of the "innovation concept, promote green development" concept explicitly mentioned in the "13th five year plan", the industry has faced many pressures during this period, but also experienced a huge test, such as controlling the total emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the industrial coating process, which is an important level of "green development", but the overall development of the industry has not slowed down Actively respond to the national policy, and implement the relevant work of green environmental protection in advance. Of course, some industry friends are interested to know, what is the development of this industry? According to some data, we have estimated that there are 2.5-3 million TEU new containers in China every year, and the amount of coating needed is 180000-220000 T. however, the waterborne container coating has not only started to develop in recent years, but actually has developed for nearly 10 years. Now that we have insisted for such a long time, we should be able to change the old concept that the construction performance has been significantly improved and the cost has been significantly controlled.            Let's go back to April 1, 2017, when the container manufacturing industry opened a new chapter - Chinese container manufacturing enterprises will fully use water-based coating. It should be noted that this is a requirement put forward in the VOCs governance and self discipline convention of China Container Industry Association concluded on March 22, 2016 by container manufacturing enterprises and container coating manufacturing enterprises, which account for more than 90% of the global market share. It can be seen that the node of environmental protection in container manufacturing industry is quite early.            According to the statistics of the Ministry of environmental protection, industrial coatings account for two thirds of the total production of coatings in China, container coating production is about 200000 tons, accounting for about 1.1% of the total production of coatings in China, and VOCs emission is about 100000 tons. After the use of water-based coating, the annual VOCs emission is reduced by 90%. By the end of 2017, the proportion of waterborne coating production in China's container industry has reached 99%, except for only 1% of special containers.            From the perspective of enterprise distribution, we can see that most of the container manufacturing enterprises are concentrated in coastal provinces, and the production areas are mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian and other eastern coastal areas, which provides great convenience for container manufacturing and transportation.            In this regard, many enterprises in the industry have seen a huge market share in container manufacturing, and the waterborne industrial paint itself is a territory that has not yet been developed in a large amount. Once it has leading technology and R & D products, it will gain a huge high growth space in the vast container market. Of course, we can't deny one thing.
